Virtual city tour Creglingen
 Haus Blumen Frede

The house was built in 1352 and with this year of construction is not only one of the oldest secular houses in North Württemberg, but also the most important house for the "young Creglingen". It was originally a timber-framed building without a centre beam and a raftered roof with no trusses.
During the restoration of the house, a historical examination of the building was carried out. This revealed that the once barn-like building was originally accessed from the south side and not from the main street as it is today. The house was only given its "face" towards the main street during the conversion phases to a residential building between 1516 and 1560.
According to previous research, a small street ran south of this house, parallel to the first town wall. Major alterations to the building were carried out in 1898 with the renewal of the interior floor plan on the upper floor and in 1996 the restoration of the roof and restoration of the façades.
During the opening hours of the flower shop, you can also discover the interior of the building and walk through to Neue Straße.
Once you have seen the house, continue along the street to the tourist information centre at Hauptstraße 29 - to the left of it, the "Malerwinkel" offers a beautiful view of an ensemble of buildings.
