 Virtual city tour Creglingen
 Pfarrhof / Schlosshof

They stand here in the Creglingen castle courtyard.
It is assumed that the building complex with the stepped gable was the former residential tower or keep in the Staufer period. It is still framed today with the typical humpback ashlars at the edges.
The castle was completely remodelled in 1734. The stepped gable dates from the 19th century and the long building on the left-hand side, which is still inhabited today, dates from the 16th century. The large building on the right-hand side was once the official residence of the ansbach Oberamtleute, then it housed the Kammeralamt, today it serves as a Protestant parish office. The former castle bakery was also located on the right-hand side.
You have now reached the end of the historical tour of the town. We would be delighted if we could show you our "Städtle" from its most beautiful side and bring you closer to its history.
Another tip for your stay:
Heading south, you will reach Creglingen's main attraction after one kilometre - the Herrgottskirche with the masterpiece by Tilman Riemenschneider and the enchanting Fingerhutmuseum. You can reach both sights on foot in around twenty minutes via the Mühlweg path along the Herrgottsbach stream. By car, drive in the direction of Münster.
Thank you for your visit!
