Virtual city tour Creglingen
 Fingerhutmuseum

They are located here in a former mill estate - the Kohlesmühle.

The Greif goldsmith family's thimble museum is a unique speciality museum of thimbles and sewing utensils from different parts of the world and different eras.

A small world of its own is revealed here: the fascinating history of the "thimbles" with the rise, fame, espionage and finally the decline of this extraordinary craft.

You can marvel at everything from simple utility thimbles to valuable decorative thimbles and many curiosities.

The Greif family is happy to welcome groups of visitors to the museum by prior arrangement, and a short guided tour is also included.

In the adjoining workshop, custom-made items such as jewellery, traditional costume buttons, crowns for wine princesses and other customer requests are fulfilled.

A museum shop and a jewellery shop complete the offer.

If you walk a few steps further uphill, you will see the path to the Herrgottskirche church with Tilman Riemenschneider's masterpiece at the top of the street pointing to the right.

You can get to know Creglingen's town centre on a historical tour. As a member town of the Romantic Road, there is much more to discover! Travel to the free Taubertorplatz (approx. 1 km). There you can find out a lot more about the small town of Tauber with the help of a QR code tour.

We wish you a pleasant stay and a safe journey!
